- About Me:
- I raised to beautiful Boxers Alex and Sasha from like a
a couple of months of life until they left me of old age
Sasha was 12 yrs old when we parted, and Alex my boydog
died at the age of 12 1/2, loved them like no one else...
gave them the best food,care,vet and most importantly
love and lots of it, when my wife and I divorced after 16 yrs
she took the cats and left the boxers, they kept me grounded
and focus, I will always be greatful for that...
Thank you Alex and Sasha, hopefully one day I will see you on the other side.
- What is one thing your dog does that reminds you to open your heart and love more deeply?
- I now have a second generation of Dogs;
Dante and Bandit depend on me completly, I take them
every place I can we go swimming to the park and Dog Stores of course, The human/pet bond it's like no other
it is hard to explain, when my father died 2 yrs ago of
cancer I cried like a baby for days and missed him and
still do...but when my last Boxer "Alex" died my heart literally
ache soooo bad and cried for days, could not forget all the
great times we spent together as he died in my arms and embraced him on the floor,whispering in his ear how much I loved him-
Told him to go play with his sister Sasha, that she was waiting for him.
RIP my baby dogs, I will see you again on the other side.
I will never forget you !!

Maltese Mom said… - Ricardo, I totally agree with you about relishing every moment with our pets. They do age quickly and every moment with them should be full of laughter and love. Our pets are very fortunate to have a mom & dad like us- that spoil them rotten. When I read your story about you holding your dog as he passed, it reminded me of Rio. I am forever grateful that Rio and I were together at his last moments. That moment I will always have embedded in my head, but I will also have longlasting memories of the great times Rio and I had....how he acted when I brought him a little friend (Oliver). Yes, now I look at Oliver and dread that time. But, NOW we are enjoying our time together. Oliver is my best friend and I love him for being here for me. Have a lovely day.

- Welcome Aboard. I know too well how it feels to lose a best friend. I lost my 12 year Maltese named Rio in June 08. I held Rio in my arms, felt his last three heartbeats as I talked to him softly. Oliver (pictured) sighed as Rio left to Rainbow Bridge. You will enjoy this site tremendously
